About Kristie
KRISTIE MONAST, MS Ed, (she/her), started KM Consulting & Training in 2020 to continue pursuit of her personal mission; engaging as many folks as possible to create a culture that is inclusive of and centered around positive sexuality awareness and equitable, high quality, comprehensive, healthcare delivery and sexuality education.
In the beginning of her career, while working as an intensive care medical technologist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Kristie took a Sexuality and Culture class “just for fun” and serendipitously, changed the course of her life both professionally and personally.
That class led to an eventual Master of Science in Human Sexuality Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and it was during these graduate studies that Kristie realized how much of life is impacted by sexuality … not sex … but sexuality. And not just our own, but also that of the people around us. It was also during this time Kristie realized the significant impact the lack of sexuality education had on everyone, especially when it came to receiving and delivering healthcare. Kristie believes there is a significant intersection between sexuality and how people expect to receive health care and how people deliver health care. Her career would move forward to constantly intertwine these intersections.
“My personal mission is to engage as many folks as possible to create a culture that is inclusive of and centered around positive sexuality awareness.”
